White-label CPO portal

Offer ERE payouts to your customers under your own brand • Joulo runs the registration and compliance rails; payouts run through Joulo or through you, per agreement.

White-label CPO portal

Joulo hosts a fully branded ERE portal for CPOs and energy companies. Your customers register, sign their machtiging (authorization), and follow their earnings in a portal that carries your name, logo, and colors. Behind the scenes Joulo verifies EAN codes, cross-checks charger models against the MID catalog, and handles the registration of the kWh as Emissiereductie-eenheden (ERE) with the NEa as a periodic back-office process. Payouts follow your agreement: quarterly through Joulo, or through your own billing.

Every tenant gets a portal at:

https://<slug>.cpo.joulo.nl

or on your own domain (e.g. ere.your-domain.nl) via a single CNAME • see Branding & custom domain.

The white-label program is offered per agreement. If you are not a Joulo CPO partner yet, start at joulo.nl/white-label.

Prefer to build ERE onboarding into your own app instead of a Joulo-hosted portal? Use the Integrated API • create accounts, capture the machtiging on a hosted signing screen, and push charging data over REST.

Three integration decisions

A tenant is configured along three independent decisions. All are set by Joulo per agreement and can be combined freely.

1. How customers enter the portal

RouteHow it worksBest for
SSO linksYour backend mints a signed, single-use login link and shows it in your own app or emails. The customer lands in the portal already identified.CPOs with an existing customer portal or app
Open signupCustomers register themselves at /aanmelden with their customer number, name, email address, and address.CPOs without a portal, or campaigns via email/print
Magic linkCustomers request a login link by email at /inloggen. Available on tenants with open signup; SSO customers on those tenants can use it too.Returning visits on open-signup tenants

See Customer onboarding for the full flow and SSO links for the token specification.

2. Where charging data comes from

ModeHow it works
Customer-linked (user)The customer connects their own charger in the portal wizard so the sessions can be synced from the charger backend. The charger-account link is rolled out per brand; where a brand is not live yet, the wizard records the charger and Joulo completes the link with the customer.
CPO-delivered (tenant)You deliver the charge sessions yourself, keyed on the customer number. The charger-linking step disappears from onboarding entirely.

See Charging data delivery for the delivery format.

3. Who pays out

ModeHow it works
Joulo pays (joulo)Customers enter their IBAN during onboarding and Joulo pays the net amount quarterly.
You pay (cpo)The earnings run through your own billing; the IBAN step disappears from onboarding entirely.

The admin portal

Tenant admins sign in with their Joulo account at https://<slug>.cpo.joulo.nl/admin and can:

  • Manage customers • add customers, see EAN verification, machtiging status, and MID status per customer, and export the list as CSV.
  • Mint login links • open the portal as any customer to help with support questions ("Open als gebruiker").
  • Import charging data • upload session exports and review the import report (CPO-delivered mode).
  • Edit branding • logo, colors, font, favicon, product name, and support contact; changes apply on the next page load.

Customer lifecycle

  1. Entry • the customer arrives via an SSO link, open signup, or magic link.
  2. Onboarding wizard • identity details (when applicable), charger link (customer-linked mode only), IBAN (only when payouts run through Joulo), then the machtiging step: identity confirmation, EAN capture (with automatic lookup in the EAN Codeboek), and the recorded authorization.
  3. Registration complete • the customer receives a branded confirmation email with the authorized EAN and lands on the dashboard.
  4. Ongoing • charging data flows in (synced or delivered), Joulo submits the ERE records with the NEa in the periodic settlement process, and the customer follows sessions, status, and earnings on the dashboard.
