How Joulo connects an Ecotap charger through the EVC-net platform run by Last Mile Solutions.
Ecotap chargers do not run on an Ecotap cloud. They run on EVC-net, the platform operated by Last Mile Solutions. You connect with the account you already use at ecotap.evc-net.com.

How the connection works
Last Mile Solutions serves one application across hundreds of reseller subdomains. Ecotap is one of those tenants, alongside 50five, EV Company, Van Leeuwen and many smaller resellers. Some Ecotap owners know the consumer app as Easy Charging Quality.
Joulo speaks one EVC-net implementation for all of them. Only the host and the branding differ, so an Ecotap connection behaves the same as any other EVC-net tenant.
If your charger is on a reseller portal that is not listed in the connect wizard, it still connects. Joulo holds the tenant host on the connection rather than shipping a separate integration per reseller.
What Joulo reads
EVC-net publishes a charge detail record once it settles a session. Joulo reads those records and turns each one into a charging session. A session therefore appears after the platform closes it, which is later than the moment you unplug.
MID certification
Joulo decides from the charger catalog, per model. Ecotap builds its models with a MID meter, so most Ecotap chargers qualify. Read mid_certified on the charger object for the verdict on your own unit.
Limitations
- Sessions follow the platform's settlement, not the charger, so they arrive with a delay.
- The operator owns the OCPP connection. Pointing an Ecotap charger at Joulo over OCPP would cut the services you already use through EVC-net.
