How an EVBox charger connects to Joulo over OCPP 1.6J, set up through the EVBox Connect app.
EVBox chargers connect to Joulo over OCPP 1.6J. You point the charger at Joulo from the EVBox Connect app, over Bluetooth, standing at the charger.

Setting it up
The EVBox Connect app talks to the charger over Bluetooth, so you have to be next to it. Have the security code from the box at hand. Without that code the app will not let you change the backoffice settings.
If an installer or a charge-card provider already operates this charger, changing the backoffice cuts their services. Confirm you are allowed to change it before you do.
What Joulo reads
Joulo stores start and stop transactions and the energy register samples that arrive during a session. Every frame is archived for support and disputes.
MID certification
Joulo classifies from the boot notification on the first connection, so you do not have to look up a part number.
The Elvi, the Liviqo and the BusinessLine carry a MID meter. The Livo does not, and it is therefore not eligible for ERE registration.
Limitations
- Setup needs physical access and the security code from the box.
- History from before the connection does not exist here. The charger reports from the moment it connects.
